Zinc Oxide (uncoated, non-nano particles)

An inorganic compound, uncoated, non-nano, micronized particles that are not absorbed into the skin, but rather form a protective barrier on the skin surface.

Zinc oxide is not water soluble but works well when dissolved in an oil. It will turn your DIY products a bright, opaque white colour and for this reason it is used in many commercial products to give it this clean professional appearance.

Zinc oxide can be used in a DIY sun cream, moisturiser, mineral makeup, acne treatment, nappy cream and many other ointments or creams to soothe the skin.
