At My Essential Alchemy, we believe we provide gentle, non-irritating and toxin free products for your skin and home. Our products are 100% natural, and in most cases food based, so edible and safe....however unappetising!

Whilst we do not make medical claims for our products, the raw ingredients, herbs and essential oils included have many benefits which are well documented in herbal and aroma therapeutic literature. Allergies
Despite the pure nature of our products, some people react or are allergic to entirely natural substances- for example lavender essential oil or Australian jojoba oil.
Whilst allergic reactions are extremely rare and unexpected, My Essential Alchemy cannot be responsible for allergies to products and resultant ailments if any. We strongly suggest that you patch test* (see below) any new product before its continued usage. If any redness, itching or discomfort occurs do not continue use.
Patch testing
Apply a small amount of new product to clean skin inside the elbow, inner wrist or behind the ear. Leave for 24 hours. Human skin changes daily and is affected by emotions, diet, hormones, and the climate. As with all cosmetic products, what suited you yesterday may not today, even though our formulae and ingredients have not changed.
It is especially important to undertake this patch testing if you are prone to sensitive skin, eczema, and psoriasis to avoid flareups.
We personally change our skin care regime throughout the year and suggest that you choose a product to suit the season, i.e. a richer, more protective butter in the winter, a lighter oil in the summer.
Variation in natural products
You may notice a slight variation in the colour or consistency for some of our products. These batch-to-batch differences are due to natural fluctuations of colour from the raw ingredients and seasonal adjustments. We never use synthetic colourants in any of our products. Our formulae are tweaked to suit the changing of the seasons and to provide a sublime end product for our customers.
Raw Ingredients
At My Essential Alchemy, our hand crafted products and raw ingredients are carefully selected due to their natural, safe and effective properties. Despite this, caution must always be taken when handling ingredients in their raw state such as fine powders and undiluted essential oils. Take appropriate precautions for your project, such as wearing gloves, a face mask or working in a ventilated room to preserve your health.
As always, if you experience any irritation, sensitivity or discomfort discontinue use.
DIY
When making your own homemade products or storing raw ingredients please ensure that bottles/bags/jars are stored correctly, clearly labelled and kept out of reach of young children.
Our recipes have been tested and trialed a number of times to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness. If you add your own flair to these recipes please use your common sense as to the safety, cleanliness and effectiveness of the final product. My Essential Alchemy will not be held responsible for any products made using our recipes, loss or injury that may occur from making/using our recipes or failed attempts to follow the DIY recipes.
Allergies
We are proud to use ingredients of the highest quality and have full disclosure on everything that is used in our products. It is up to the consumer to check products for their full list of ingredients prior to purchasing, to ensure is does not contain any known allergy causing substances.
Pregnancy | Dilution | Children
The essential oils and raw ingredients used in our products are generally regarded as being safe for use by pregnant and/or breastfeeding women unless otherwise specified. Please note that adults may use children's essential oil products however the adult essential oil blends are not diluted to a percentage that is safe for a child to use.
Please consult with your health provider before starting any natural remedy if you are concerned about the effect it may have on your specific health situation.
